Committee on Radiation Protection and Public Health (CRPPH)
Comité de Protección Radiológica y Salud Pública (CRPPH)
The assistance that the NEA’s Committee on Radiation Protection and Public Health (CRPPH) provides to member countries aims to facilitate their mission of regulating and implementing their national radiation protection systems. To do so, the CRPPH takes a proactive approach by identifying and studying the conceptual, political, technological, regulatory, operational and social challenges that can arise in connection with radiation protection.
The work the CRPPH does helps member countries attain a shared vision of the overall situation and facilitates the coordinated development of capacities and the implementation of suitable policies. The topics the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council tackles as a member of the CRPPH’s working groups and in CRPPH research projects and databases include radiation protection of workers and radiological emergencies.
