Conferencia General
The General Conference is the highest policy-making body of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). It is made up of representatives from all the agency’s member countries. The General Conference meets once a year to discuss and approve the agency’s programme of activities and budget and to decide on issues brought before the IAEA by the Board of Governors.
The Spanish Nuclear Safety Council takes an active part in the strategic management of the IAEA as part of the Spanish delegation to the General Conference. The Council also advises the Permanent Representation of Spain on its participation in the bodies that steer the IAEA.
