One of the objectives of the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) is to establish and monitor research plans in the field of nuclear safety and radiation protection. This work is fundamental as scientific and technical support for the Council’s analytical and decision-making processes.

The CSN stands on the scientific evidence resulting from R&D projects to define rules and regulations, monitor nuclear and radioactive facilities and ensure that the staff stays abreast of cutting-edge technology contributions to these disciplines.
