General information
The Santa María de Garoña nuclear power plant is located in the Valle de Tobalina association of municipalities on the left bank of the Ebro River. It has a nuclear steam production system consisting of a light boiling water reactor, BWR-3 type, and a Mark I type containment building, supplied by the US company General Electric.
