Service entities
The concept of service entities include those organisations or companies that provide support or technical advice on aspects relating to radiological protection to the licensees of nuclear and radioactive and medical radiodiagnosis facilities.
Spanish radiological protection legislation covers three types of service providers:
• Personal Dosimetry Services.
• Radiation Protection Services.
• Radiation Protection Technical Units.
One notable fact is that these service entities are authorised directly by the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council, which is also responsible for controlling and inspecting them, as part of the functions assigned to it.
